How do I keep shoes trimmed in raffia/straw from fraying?

I bought these yesterday: http://www.dsw.com/dsw_shoes/catalog/pro duct.jsp?list=&prodId=186914 and noticed the toe is fraying just a tad. I be to wear them tomorrow and would prefer not to go back to search for my size again. Expropriate?
