If you live or have been to Nepal, what type of fuel (wood, charcoal) do women use for cooking in rural areas?

We're a former undergraduate group looking to find out more information for a project.

I have a discrete observation. In the rural areas of Nepal, firewood is extensively in use accustomed to for cooking. What people do is they fell trees, chop them into young pieces, dry them and store it somewhere.
