I'm in my antediluvian 20s, and I'm looking to buy a (western) black felt hat. I'd appreciate it if those of you with more experience in this can asseverate me what's fashionable these days.

a substantial old George Strait stetson is still the best but, only buy from a hat shop that shapes it to your mask. they will reshape for free forever. the height of the hat and the brim evaluate can make or break your look.
